Arwen is usually the person who notices what everyone else has missed. She grew up between two cultures and learned early that there is always another version of the story, usually buried somewhere underneath the first. She has a talent for finding it.
She keeps much of herself to herself. She will tell you what she has learned, what she thinks, what she has figured out, but ask how she felt about any of it and you may get a pause, a change of subject, or a look that says you already know enough. Her space is much the same: books with broken spines and notes in the margins, papers stacked into careful piles, a desk lit by one small pool of light while the rest of the room falls away.
She watches everything closely. A sentence that does not quite fit. A room arranged strangely. The silence after someone says something they did not mean to say. She takes it all in, and by the time she speaks, she has usually been thinking about it for a while.

Arwen can mistake understanding people for trusting them. She knows a great deal about how people work but holds the knowledge carefully, which sometimes means she is close to someone for years before they feel fully seen by her. This is a kind of loneliness that looks like self-sufficiency from the outside.
