Mother of Pearl Pendant Necklace with Gold Rings
This mother-of-pearl pendant necklace follows a simple rhythm: ring, stone, ring, stone. Five open gold circles alternate with five pieces of mother of pearl, meeting at the centre, where the last stone hangs as a pendant. The rings are hammered by hand, so their surface is lightly textured and catches the light in small, uneven glints. Against them, the mother of pearl is smooth and cool, each piece set in a plain gold bezel that follows its natural outline. No two stones share a shape; some are long and narrow, others broad and softly angular. Short hinged links join the parts, letting the necklace lie flat and follow the body. It sits lower than a collar-length piece and forms a long V, making it easy to wear over a crew neck, a silk shirt, or a plain dress. The open rings keep it light, so it reads as considered instead of heavy. Each necklace is handcrafted in Jaipur in gold-plated brass. Mother of pearl is a natural material, so the shape, sheen and markings of every stone vary, and yours will differ slightly from the one pictured.
