Mother of Pearl Drop Necklace on Gold Collar

This mother-of-pearl drop necklace does one thing, and does it in a straight line. A slim gold collar sits close at the base of the neck, and from its centre five pieces of mother of pearl fall one below the other, each a little larger than the last. The stones are left in their natural, uneven teardrop shapes and held in open claw settings, so nothing hides the surface. Ripples, folds and soft flashes of pink and silver show from every side. Small gold links join each stone to the next, which lets the drop move and settle against the skin instead of hanging stiff. It is made for an open neckline. Wear it inside a blazer with nothing underneath, over a fine knit, or with a deep V dress, and leave the rest plain. The collar keeps its shape, so the drop always sits centred. Each necklace is handcrafted in Jaipur in gold-plated brass with a soft satin finish.
