Enamel Flower Necklace with Circle Pendant

This enamel flower necklace keeps most of its circle empty, and that is the point. Two small flowers sit on opposite sides of an open gold ring, one near the top and one at the base, with clear space between them so the skin shows through. Each flower has three petals, hand-painted in enamel in plum, soft pink and pearl white. The surface is lightly rippled, so the colour deepens in the hollows and brightens on the ridges, and a fine beaded gold edge outlines every petal. A round crystal marks the centre of each bloom. The pendant hangs from a slim box chain that catches the light in short, clean flashes. It is an easy piece to live in.
